Before production begins, the designer first applies a thin layer of Vaseline to the model's eyebrows and eyelashes to prevent them from sticking to the mask model. The designer then applied a layer of silicone to the model's face. For the rest of the process, the model had to sit there with no expression, because even a slight change in expression would directly affect the final shape of the mask. After 3 or 4 minutes, the silicone applied to the face will solidify. At this time, the designer also put plaster on the face of the model to shape the mask. Two hours later, the plaster was removed and the formed silicone mask was revealed. Designers simply sew eyebrows and eyelashes onto the silicone mask, tint it with skin color, and a lifelike mask is born.
